The diving experience was average, as is typical of the ocean. There was plenty of marine life and fish, but we were hoping for good visibility and to see manta rays. Unfortunately, it wasn't to be. It's still early, being January. We'll have to come back. The experience with the dive center was outstanding. The reception, service, equipment, explanations, and knowledge of the guide and assistants were all excellent. The equipment worked perfectly. The boat is safe and well-equipped. Everything was perfect and highly recommended.

La experiencia de buceo ha sido normal porque esto del mar es así. Mucha vida marina y peces pero veníamos esperando buena visibilidad y ver mantas. No ha podido ser. Es pronto siendo enero. Tendremos que volver. La experiencia con el centro ha sido inmejorable. Tanto la recepción, trato, equipo, explicaciones y conocimientos del guía y asistentes han sido geniales. Los equipos han funcionado a la perfección. La embarcación es segura y bien preparada. Todo perfecto y recomendable.

Nico, Luca and Ines were amazing, so friendly and accommodating.
We did several dives in the Catalina Islands, great service and very convenient right by the beach.
We saw white tip sharks, turtles, plenty of morays rockas and plenty of life despite limited 10m visibility.

Did two morning dives with Be water diving. Well organized and nice and knowledgeable staff. Dived at Catalina Island, saw a lot of wildlife, white tip sharks, eagleray etc. Visibility was not the best (3-5 m), but still very nice dives. Approx. 12-15 meters. The boat trip was nice, saw dolphins and the staff offered fruit and cake. No problems with the language! Recommend!

Gjorde två morgondyk med Be water diving. Bra organiserat och trevlig och kunnig personal. Dök vid Catalina Island, såg mycket djurliv, white tips -hajar, eagleray (örnrockak) mm. Sikten var inte den bästa (3-5 m), men ändå väldigt trevliga dyk. Ca. 12-15 meter. Båtturen var trevlig, såg delfiner och personalen bjöd på frukt och kaka. Inga problem med språket! Rekommenderar!

I took my Open Water Course with Be Water Diving Tamarindo and it was a fantastic experience.

I learned to dive with Lucas, who was very kind, patient, and funny, which made the whole course feel friendly and relaxed. Even though I took the course alone, I felt confident the entire time.

The entire staff is very friendly and helpful, always willing to assist. I highly recommend them for your diving course, especially if it's your first time.

We did two nice dives at Catalina Island on December 2, 2025. We saw a variety of fish and several whitetip reef sharks. There was some current and visibility wasn't the best, but we're in the Pacific Ocean! The “Ocean Rider” boat is perfect for a morning trip, and the staff and guide were super welcoming!

My family of 4 booked the half day snorkel trip with Be Water Diving. What an experience! The trip started with a 30min smooth and acenic ride to the Catalina Islands. We saw 2 large turtles in the way. Once we got to the first destination, we all jumped in and snorkelled. We saw many pools of tropical fish, puffers, starfish and other fish. We then went to another location and snorkeled more. The crew were professional, kind, funny and reassuring. We felt very safe the whole time. Snacks and drinks were provided too. I highly recommend this trip. My 19 yr old said this was the best part of our trip to CR which says a lot because we did a ton!

An excellent diving experience.

The team is friendly and very professional, adapting to each diver's experience level. Diving at the Catalina Islands was one of the best I've ever done. You can see whitetip reef sharks, turtles, rays, and countless schools of fish. Dolphins even came to greet us.
Snorkeling is also possible there.
If you're ever in Tamarindo, don't hesitate to visit this small local dive center!

Une excellent expérience de plongée.
L'équipe est sympathique et très professionnel et s'adapte à l'expérience de chacun. La plongée aux islas Catalinas était l'une des plus belles que j'ai pu faire. On peut y observer des requins à pointe blanche, des tortues, des raies et une multitude de banc de poissons. Des dauphins sont également venus nous saluer.
Il est également possible d'y faire du snorkeling.
Si vous passez par Tamarindo n'hésitez pas à aller dans ce petit club local !

I had an amazing experience! It was my first time diving and Lucas, the instructor for first timers was great. He made it so easy and it was truly a great and fun experience. Lucas did amazing job! Communicated very well. Had a great diving assistant and support team. A couple great dives on a beautiful September day. Capn did a great job driving the boat. Saw humpback whales, green turtles, dolphins (all on the surface), some white tip reef sharks resting on the bottom and a myriad of other cool things!

My experience was AMAZINNGGG! I was terrified tbh bc I was nervous about my ears, but they went down slowly with me and made sure I was okay before going down further. They were awesome at spotting cool stuff too!! Very professional and kind!

Be Water Diving was amazing with a well educated and very kind staff! Lucas was my instructor and he made the entire process of completing my Open Water certification seamless and super fun! The boat captain was great, happily venturing “off course” when we would spot whales and dolphins!

P.S. the restaurant next door (Caprichos) is delicious and the perfect spot to grab lunch after the dive (highly recommend the Bomba Schnitzel).

In the face of all the amazing reviews I contacted them the day before, they said we do snorkelling from 7-12. We planned to be there the next day and they weren’t there. We asked someone, he said they are closed. And later they responded to my whats app message saying we are closed today, even though the day before they said they were open.

We had a great time with this dive center. We did two dives at Las Catalinas, at the El Classico and Los Sombreros sites, and we loved both dive sites. We booked and prepaid through a reliable website they recommended and showed up at 7:00 AM. We reached the dive site in a 40-minute boat ride. We saw numerous sharks, many pufferfish, many moray eels of various colors, and an eagle ray. During the boat trip, we also saw a couple of whales, dolphins, and turtles. Excellent organization. Our instructor, Lucas, was well-trained, spoke good English, and gave us all the necessary instructions before diving. The briefing was well-conducted, and everything was completely safe. The equipment was good and modern. There were only three of us diving with the instructor. We recommend this dive center if you want to dive from Tamarindo.

Ci siamo trovati molto bene con questo diving. Abbiamo fatto due immersioni a Las Catalinas, ai siti di El Classico e Los Sombreros, ed entrambi i punti di immersione ci sono piaciuti. Abbiamo prenotato e prepagato tramite un sito affidabile da loro indicato e ci siamo presentati lì la mattina alle sette. Con una barca di piccole dimensioni e 40 minuti di navigazione siamo arrivati al punto di immersione. Abbiamo visto numerosi squali, tanti pesci palla, tante murene di diversi colori e un’aquila di mare. Nel viaggio in barca abbiamo visto anche un paio di balene, dei delfini e tartarughe. Ottima organizzazione. Il nostro istruttore Lucas era ben preparato, parlava bene inglese e ci ha dato tutte le istruzioni necessarie prima di immergerci. Briefing ben fatto e tutto in completa sicurezza. L’attrezzatura era buona e moderna. Eravamo solo tre ad immergerci insieme all’istruttore. Consigliamo questo diving se volete immergervi partendo da tamarindo.

Wow, what a great company! I really enjoyed the entire experience. From the very first contact over WhatsApp—where the BeWater team was quick to respond and very helpful—to the actual diving itself, everything was perfect.

I booked three discovery dives for my wife and two daughters, as well as a dive trip for myself. Luca, my dive instructor, was extremely kind and made sure I had all the information I needed during our boat trip. The kids also received clear instructions, and I must admit—I was even more excited about their dive than my own. And I was not disappointed! Neither by my dive, nor by the enthusiasm the kids showed after their very first dive.

I was able to join my wife and kids for their second dive, and switching groups was no problem at all. As I said, really wonderful people.
Result: my kids now want to go for their certification!

We saw baby sharks and lots of fish—it was such a great experience, and I highly recommend going there! It was my first time scuba diving, and the staff was very friendly, explaining everything thoroughly. Underwater, we didn’t have many complications, and even when we did, they helped us immediately.
I enjoyed it so much that I’ve decided to go for my dive certification!

This is such a great outfit! The sign up process was easy, communication prior to visit was excellent and staff very responsive! Our dive guide and boat staff were helpful and informative. Safety was top priority! Our group had 1 that was trying scuba and the instructor/guide was so patient and really made him enjoy his experience! I think we have a new diver! The dive spots were incredible! Especially Mexican Hat with sharks, octopus and swimming with schools of fish! Best dive EVER! Thank you, Be Water Diving!

We had an amazing experience with We Water Diving Center in Costa Rica! Our instructors, Luca and Nico, were fantastic—professional, friendly, and made us feel safe and excited throughout the adventure.
We went snorkeling and were blown away by what we saw: reef sharks, colorful tropical fish, a pufferfish, giant sea turtles, whales, and playful dolphins. The water was crystal clear, the equipment was in great condition, and the atmosphere was relaxed yet full of energy.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Costa Rica and looking for an unforgettable marine experience!

We did our Open Water certification here. We had a fantastic time with a very competent and friendly instructor. Lucas organized some great dives for us, taught us a lot during the training, and made us feel safe. I highly recommend this diving school and would come back anytime to do more dives here.

Wir haben hier unsere Open Water Certification gemacht. Es war eine super Zeit mit einem sehr kompetenten und sympathischen Ausbilder. Lucas hat uns tolle Tauchgänge ermöglicht und uns in der Ausbildung viel beigebracht und das Gefühl von Sicherheit gegeben. So, I get super skeptical when I see perfect five star reviews for the dive outfits that I use for scuba internationally. I visited Be Water’s website, and I was intrigued enough to sign up for a two tank dive with them while I was in Tamarindo vacationing with my family.

Having gone on a dive with Luca and Luis, I now understand… and I agree that they indeed deserve my five stars.

I watched some YouTube videos about scuba diving in the area, so I set my expectations low. I’m happy to report that I was pleasantly surprised. It was about an hour - hour and 15 minutes boat ride out to two dives in Catalina Islands @ Clasico & Pyelas dive sites.

Luis was a patient diver, even with my Master Diver status, and despite alternating thermoclines and rotating currents at 60 to 80 feet deep, we still had a blast seeing families of snoozing white tip reef sharks, several eels, hundreds of schooling fish, and even an eagle ray!

If I had more time in Tamarindo, I definitely would have scheduled more dives with this company. Highly recommend, without reservation; Luis u rock! #puravida

As a woman that will typically join a dive center alone, I would like to lead with the fact that I felt very safe and comfortable diving with this team. From initial contact when I inquired about the dive schedule all the way to saying goodbye. Engaging, respectful, helpful, and fun!

As a divemaster that has worked in many dive centers, I found the team to be very efficient and capable. My Divemaster, Lucas, lead our dive safely, identified aquatic life enthusiastically, provided excellent briefings, and took great care for our hungry bellies and comfort in between dives. The captain drove the boat with skill and respect for both the ocean and us passengers.

Plenty of schools of fish, white tip reef sharks, eagle rays, lobster, needlenose, box/cowfish, puffers- all galore! The coral is still suffering as most of our beloved sites are. I LOVE to dive and so I LOVED these dives and will absolutely return to Be Water.

I cannot say enough good things about this dive company. I dove three days with them - the guides (Fernando and Lucas) were awesome, and did a great job showing us stuff underwater. They run small boats so it doesn’t feel like too many people to a guide. Despite visibility not being the best (related to the time of year), it felt very safe since the guides were always nearby and had their attention of us. Only (minor) negative that I would note is that it the boat is on the smaller side with not much space to move around. But it is well-equipped for diving, and that’s what’s important!

Additionally, I had a group of four that did a discover dive with them. Everyone that participated said it was a great experience - Lucas and Fernando were patient, they felt very safe and would do it again! Highly recommend giving them a shot if you’re looking for a dive company in the area.

I am happy to have chosen to dive with Be Water Diving. When searching for a local operator, with a small outfit and great reviews this dive shop showed up. We always plan out vacations around diving and we prefer the local small shops vs the PADI shops that have all this amazing expensive equipment and fast boats but we prefer the friendly interaction, the local vibe and dive culture. This shop fell nothing short of that.

Willy and Nico were super friendly. Fernando and Lucas were wonderful guides. From start to finish these guys made us feel right at home and made sure we got the best experience we could have.

We went 2 separate days. One was after a week of wind and visibility was maybe 5ft but we saw dolphins on the way out. The other set of dives were made after a few days without wind and visibility was substantially better and we saw a bunch of things!

Highly recommended!

An amazing spot for our first ocean dives! We did our 4 open water dives to finish our scuba certification and it was the perfect combination of learning and exploring!! The instructors we dove with—Fernando, Lucas and Nico—were knowledgeable and made it such an enjoyable experience! We saw sharks, a barracuda, eels, colorful fish, starfish and many other sea creatures. The boat staff were incredibly helpful and the entire experience was one to remember!!

This is a great dive shop. We went out with Fernando and Adriana. While Diving we got to hear whales in the water. We didn’t see them because they were far but it was totally cool to hear them in the water. The crew was really nice and safe. There was tons of marine life. The visibility is not great in these parts, so know that. The dive Shop is small but highly recommended!!

Amazing experience!!!! Communication was incredible. Friendly staff who went out of their way for me and my daughter on short notice. Mariano was patient and very skilled! We had a blast and saw so many beautiful creatures to include giant eels, octopus, and white tip shark along with their baby. Incredible day and in between dives we were welcomed with fresh pineapple and a sweet along with water and tea. Highly recommend this place for all your water adventure needs!!!
